Top Surgical Technician Schools in Wyoming

Surgical Technicians represent vital members of a surgical team. As allied health professionals, surgical techs are responsible for maintaining sterile conditions, gathering and arranging surgical instruments, and working closely with surgeons during operations. Surgical technologists must have the ability to correctly understand the steps of an operation so they are prepared to hand the next required surgical instrument to the doctors. Their work is vital. It is important to select an accredited educational program in Wyoming in order to gain a position.

Although there are several online programs available for surgical technology, the only fully accredited program in the state is through Laramie County Community College. The training at Laramie County Community College requires in-person attendance at its Cheyenne campus. As previously noted, the only accredited Surgical Technician Program in Wyoming is at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Admission is limited, and classes begin each Fall. If intending to enroll, make certain that all prerequisite classes are first completed, and be prepared for a criminal background check and drug test, as most clinical sites require them.
